The first Ice Cube track i heard was How to survive in south central, boys in the hood soundtrack way back in 1990. I remember his flow was out of this world, i then went and got straight out of compton NWA 1st album & immediately became a fan. Ice Cube's simply the Greatest lyricist i have ever listened to, he talks about so many issues ranging from politics, social commentary, religion, flossing, gang related, women & sex. He speaks with so much power & authority & his flow is legendary rivaled only by Biggie. Cube has been in the game for so long & has stood the test of time. He's a poet as tracks like Ghetto vet, Until We Rich, Nigga Trap, Stand tall show us masterful abstract lyrics. He's simply the best period, only a handful of rappers come close i.e. tupac, biggie, nas & rakim.

the first time i heard from Cube was 1989/90. After the german wall failed i got the choice between heavymetal and a new kind of music straight from the states, called rap. This was the first time.... in combination with NWA.

After that I had to go out and get Laugh Now, Cry Later. I know that's mad late, but Cube got me lovin his music after hearing Why We Thugs? and now I'm a huge fan. Cube is the godfather of rap for sho'.
